Have you ever been driving somewhere using GPS, and a message pops up saying you can save several minutes by taking a different route?
That’s course correction.
Correction doesn’t always come after a wrong action—it can come before, to prevent one. It can redirect us from an intended path that may not be God’s best.
Saul was on his way to Damascus when Jesus interrupted him with a course correction.
The Holy Spirit has been given to every believer to lead, guide, and when necessary, redirect us—even mid-sentence or mid-response.
But course correction requires sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. It’s a skill developed over time through humility, trust, and a surrendered heart.
Here’s a powerful prayer to pray:
Father, I yield to the course-correcting power of Your Spirit. I give You full permission to interrupt me—mid-sentence, mid-action, or mid-response. Help me grow in sensitivity and obedience to Your leading.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
