What began as a one-sentence word from the Spirit of God: Prepare the people for correction” has now become nine installments of self-reflection and evaluative growth opportunities.
The Process:
Each morning, I wake up and wait on the Holy Spirit to give me what to write for the next installment. And without fail, another insight comes.
This morning, when I opened my iPad to begin writing, it wouldn’t connect to the internet. A message popped up: Connection Failed – TRY AGAIN.
That simple phrase hit me: Try it again.
Correcting a behavior, breaking a bad habit, or shifting course can be extremely challenging. Habits are formed by repeated actions over extended periods—so ingrained that they begin to operate on autopilot, without thought or effort.
Challenging, yes. But not impossible.
God’s grace—the same grace that saves us—also empowers us to remove anything from our lives that doesn’t reflect Jesus. Grace doesn’t just carry us when we fall; it lifts us to try again.
Titus 2:11-14 says:
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
This time, Try It Again by the power of God’s grace! people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. This time, Try It Again—by the power of God’s grace!
Declaration Prayer
Father, thank You for the transformative power of grace. I declare that Your grace is active in my life—empowering me to say “NO” to every error, every work of darkness, and every ungodly habit, addiction, or belief system. I partner with grace to be transformed into the image of Christ.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Blessings,
Apostle
