James writes to the twelve tribes scattered abroad concerning the importance of works. True faith includes works, without works faith is dead.

James warns against double mindedness. Many believers were wavering in their faith in the last days of the old covenant due to persecution. James also speaks of the coming judgment on the rich in the last days.

James states that the coming of the lord was drawing nigh, and the judge was standing at the door.
