Revelation is a prophesy given to John while on the Isle of Patmos to show him the things that were “soon” to come to pass” (Rev 1:3).
John was instructed to give the message to the seven churches in Asia, to warn them of the impending judgements and coming of the Lord. Revelation reveals the arrival of the kingdom in judgement.
