Isaiah 57:15b  NIV   “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

We need a contrite heart – a heart of repentance. Contrite is defined as caused by or showing sincere remorse; filled with a sense of guilt and the desire for atonement; penitent (repentant). Contrite means humble in spirit, demonstrating humility; low in station.  We go high when we’re willing to go low! When we walk in humility we see our need for the holiness of God.
