Nine years later and I’m grateful!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nine years already. So many new relationships, adventures and lessons learned. We did not mark our 9th year with a series of services or a black-tie banquet (next year); this year we chose to mark our 9th year with gratitude. On August 27th at 1pm at StewCasa, Pastor Gale and I want to take time to appreciate every volunteer who sacrifices their time, talent and resources to make G2G possible. It’s a party for you!

As I look back over the past nine years, we really have navigated unprecedented times: launching G2G with only a few people; moving on to weekly setup and breakdowns at schools and hotels; then coming face to face with a global pandemic that paused our in-person services for two years. But through prayer (366 days of prayer in 2020) and by coming together as a team, we weathered those challenging times, making the necessary adjustments to keep the G2G community connected.
As I personally reflect over the past nine years (I call it “nine years in”), I have grown as a leader because of you. There’s always the proverbial, ”I would have done this or that differently," but I don’t allow myself to get stuck there. We’re here and you're here, so I choose to spend my time, energy and focus on moving forward, learning from the past and pressing onward to a greater future! (Philippians 3:12-14)

The number 9 in scripture symbolizes divine completeness: after saying, “it is finished” (John 19:30), Jesus died on the cross in the 9th hour. The number 9 also represents the fruits of the Holy Spirit: Faithfulness, Gentleness, Goodness, Joy, Kindness, Long Suffering, Love, Peace and Self-Control.

My prayer for every member and household of G2G is that you experience in fullness everything Jesus died for: complete healing, breakthrough, blessing; and that you experience accelerated GROWTH in the character of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Blessings G2G and once again, thank you!
To the FUTURE!
