Be cautious when people claim, “God said,” especially if it contradicts what He has already spoken to you. In 1 Kings 13, the Man of God (his name is never given) delivers an accurate prophecy to King Jeroboam—only to be deceived by a lying prophet.

Here’s the wild twist: the old prophet, who deceived him, later prophesies judgment upon the very man he misled—and it comes to pass!

Lesson: There are no excuses for disobedience.
