1 Chronicles records the rule of David. The Chronicles are more focused on Judah (southern kingdom and Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the covenant city, and Judah was more faithful to the covenant than Israel (northern kingdom). Chronicles has genealogies that emphasize the line of Judah and the Messiah.
